Qoya is a movement system based on the idea that through movement, we remember.

We remember our essence is WISE, WILD and FREE.

Through movement, ritual and community connection, we learn to trust the physical sensation of truth in our bodies. 

Wise, Wild and Free also draws reference to some of the movement types we practise in a Qoya class
Wise - from the ancient practises of Yoga and meditation - the idea that all the wisdom we need is already held within us.
Wild - from the creative expression of Free Dance - the opportunity to reconnect to our wild innate nature
Free- from the opportunity to slow down and enjoy feminine movement.

What happens in a class? 
Through 13 core movement components, it is a journey through a theme that addresses all parts of a woman -  body, heart, soul, emotions, spirit, energy and mind. We welcome all parts of ourselves and the practise helps to bring all parts together opening up potential for a deeply meaningful experience.


Who is Qoya for?
Qoya is for anyone walking through life as a woman of all ages, body types and levels of movement experience. 
There are no levels in Qoya and you can’t do it wrong. You know you’re doing it right when it feels true to you.
Qoya is hard to describe - it has to be experienced. If you’re curious, follow that feeling and come along to a class. 

We dance with purpose and abandon.
We dance like our ancestors around a fire.
We dance with joy and enthusiasm
We dance without reservation.
We dance because we can no longer not dance.
